Bachelor Party & Wicked RAIN

We are obviously getting married; which means in the next few weeks many wedding/bridal parties will be happening! Derek had his bachelor party on the week-end let me say this: I'm glad that week-end is OVER! Not because it's Derek's week-end but because I had water in my basement.

Thursday I went to the the bridal shop that the bridesmaids dresses were ordered to pick them up...I learned a few days ago the my matron of honor's dress is ripped and has to be re-ordered; a little bit of a piss-off/worry but it's out of my control. The other dresses look great and some alterations need to be done but nothing crazy. On the way back home...it rained so hard. I've never seen rain like this in my LIFE! People pulled over with their cars and some just driving reaaaaaally slow like me. When I got home Derek's parents and friend Steve were there. Derek was leaving for his bachelor party in Montreal so he had last minute packing left to do. As time goes on the sky was absolutely scary...dark and windy. I couldn't believe they went to Montreal anyway. I found out the next day a tornado hit Aylmer...but didn't do any damage. Derek and his friend came back home to meet other friends the next day. Rained...rained, rained. Some festivals are cancelled due to so much rain in our region including CHEO's Teddy Beay picnic! They went to the Casino also had dinner...ended up at my house partying till 5:30 Saturday morning. As tired as I was; I even made them breakfast. It was good too...too bad my house was still messy and many boxes still unpacked! The boys were off golfing an hour and a half away after that...as I'm looking for Derek's golf shoes in the basement I find water everywhere. My boxes saturated with water...Derek had to leave and I needed help. Carol and AndrĂ© helped me clean up and salvage most of our things like Drayden baby pics. What a mess!
Derek arrived the next day and I was completely pooped from my week end. Drayden was a good boy and I was busy as all hell trying to get things cleaned-up and organized!

Welcome to the neighborhood...rain in your new home. And the city is not doing a thing about it. I do have to say that many homes in the region had significant damage...I fell bad for them, I got off lucky!
