Meeting Santa

Drayden had nothing but excitement when we told him we were going to see Santa which he calls hohoho. We went to Carlingwood on Saturday morning to see him first thing. Thank god because the line up behind us was getting bigger and bigger. As I was waiting in line Drayden was taking a peek at all the decor and whole the procedure of meeting Saint Nick with Daddy....curious George he is! Daddy also treated him to those mall rides for kids that cost a fortune for nothing...but he enjoyed it! Once it was his turn; Santa called him up by name and Drayden got all shy and speechless. We had a  few pictures taken with mommy and daddy because he was too shy. He also touched Santa's fury coat and seemed happy with the little Raccoon named Rocky that Santa gave him! After that got his face painted by Santa's helpers...he had a nice Christmas tree and was proud of it too.

Busy November!

This month has been crazy! With Derek gone hunting on weekends (Drayden, Nana and I joining on one of them), the end of swimming classes, parent/teacher meeting, work related events, birthday parties, Christmas shopping, putting up the Christmas tree as well as lights, Santa Claus Parade with friends and catching up with regular house work! Being pregnant with all of this has had it's challenges but hey...thank god for Derek! What a huge help he's been. My house would be a nightmare to live in if he didn't clean it! Hopefully I get over this morning sickness hump soon so I can get back in the grove of things. So far baby is doing well...a few scares before but I think we are good now...I saw the doctor this morning and baby's heartbeat is 155 bmp. People say girl but personally I think we are having a boy...we'll find out  for sure on January 11th, 2012. Other than that she thinks I might deliver early again; but I really hope not too soon for baby's sake! Only time will tell.

My Cheeseburger!

Drayden's cotume for Halloween was a hit! Everyone loved my little Cheeseburger! He had so much fun Trick or Treating with his cousins. He wasn't scared like I thought he would be and Daddy was proud to take him out!

I'm going to be a Big Brother

I forgot to mention that this Thanksgiving weekend Drayden wore a shirt that I made saying: "I'M GOING TO BE A BIG BROTHER" ...That's how we broke the news to our family that I'm pregnant and due June 7th, 2012.

Busy Thanksgiving weekend!

Gorgeous weekend, absolutely beautiful. The weather made record temperature since 1949! Can you believe it...that's crazy in itself.
So Saturday we made our way to Oma's house for turkey dinner. It was good and fun. A few family members were missing this year; Mario, Talia, Nick and Krystal..but uncle Lucien made his way over!

Sunday was a much busier day...Ma Tante Chantal cut Drayden's hair and then we went pumpkin picking at the farm! Chantal and Madisson joined in the fun. After a fun tractor ride and having a hard time choosing the perfect pumpkin we ate corn on the cob and looked at the farm animals and made our way home for well deserved nap!!!...Just ask Drayden he fell asleep on the way home.(It's hard to be 2 you know!!) After nap time we made our way over to Nana and Grand-Papa's house for another turkey dinner. Yum-Yu. Ma Tante Chantal, Uncle Rodney, Matthew and Madisson were also there.

 Monday we went to the cottage to help Grand-Papa rake leaves. Boy did the kids (Drayden, Matthew and Madisson) ever have fun. They played for hours in those piles of leaves.

NO chips for a month!

I can't believe it but I did it...NO CHIPS FOR A MONTH! Well that's one to check off my list! It was pretty tricky and somewhat hard but managed to keep it together ...I went to events and didn't even cheat. Not even Drayden's birthday party. I'm pretty darn proud of myself so I celebrated with a big bag of chippies!

After all those times trying to get Drayden out of this specialty toy store in the Carlingwood Shopping Centre; Daddy and Mommy decided to buy Drayden his own wooden train set for his second birthday. Boy was Drayden happy to be able to play with it at home the day after his party. Daddy ended up joining in the fun.

CHOO-CHOO Drayden turned 2!!!

That's not a Smurf...it's Drayden!

I just can't believe it...my son turned 2. Boy has time flew by! For Drayden's birthday we had our family,  godmother Amanda and a few little friends to help celebrate another year. Thomas the Train was theme this year and loved every bit of it. To see his face when he woke up from his nap with everything decorated Thomas was worth every penny! BBQ'd hot dog and burgers was well devoured and Auntie 'Rara" made the cupcakes and cake for the little guy...which he had no problem sharing with everyone! Many nice gifts from everyone...Thanks. He loves them all so much he was too excited to sleep that night...or maybe it was because he had too much sugar in system...LOL

Hamburger here Drayden comes!

Turns out that this year Drayden will be a HAMBURGER for Halloween!!! I found one at Old Navy. I know..it's mean but so fun! Pictures to come!!!

Our Honeymoon in PEI

Our wedding was amazing but never could I ever imagine the Beauty in PEI...it's so pretty and CLEAN. We rented an oceanfront cottage and off we went. Our drive was fairly good considering we didn't get much sleep from all the wedding stuff we had that weekend. Drayden was a great passenger...no dvd movies and with just a few toys he was a great sport for being in a car for sooo long! We visited many little towns, Green Gables, Cows Ice Creamery and enjoyed walks on the beach. Bought local produce from farmers and farmer's markets...everything fresh for dinner. Everywhere we went there was some sort of Cavendish, McCain or Humpty Dumpty plant. We also enjoyed a tour of the Potato Museum where Derek and I learned so much...Drayden was just happy playing with the John Deer tractors in the play area. I think Drayden's enjoyment was at the beach collecting every shell and red rock he could find along his way. Derek however, was a bit sad not being able to go golfing...maybe next time. PEI we are coming back...we have so much more to see!

Back to reality!

Back at work today and OMG so much to share! I'm now married...and it feels great. I can't believe it's over. What a wonderful day it was. Everything was beautiful with a few minor glitches. My family was awesome and looked sharp! Drayden co-operated and wore his suit and people were on time for the most part. Got ready with my family, photographer took pictures and limo arrived...and it started raining.
My Dad walked me down the aisle as I cried to the sound of our harpist playing in the Parish. What a beautiful moment that's I'll never forget! There Derek was smiling from ear to ear...proud he was of us. Partners, parents and best friends is what we are and to add to that; husband and wife. Back to the venue for pictures and a wonderful dinner and a night of dancing! Little to Derek's surprise I had something up my sleeve.... FIREWORKS! And it was awesome!

Last minute details!

Picked-up flowers, rings, BM dresses, tuxes, wedding gown, shoes, garter, jewelery...etc...CHECK! Centre pieces, programs, favours, table flags, seating frames, ...DONE! Called all vendors and everything is A..OK.

READY to go!

Friday night is our big dinner night with our parents and grand-parents at the Casino. Our last night as an engaged couple. Kind of weird saying like that but it's just the way it is... can't wait to see the big day unfold.

Booked our Honeymoon in PEI

HEHEHE...I'm pretty sneaky! I booked a trip to PEI for our honeymoon without telling Derek about it....Not to my surprise he was thrilled about it. A long drive that will be worth it I'm sure. Can't wait to see Drayden on the beach!

Bridal Shower

Just a few words to say thank you to my bridal party and especially Chantal for my Bridal Shower...it was fun and the food was great! It was nice to see everyone having a few good laughs while my Aunt Monique was getting dressed blind folded! Also a big thank you for the wonderful gifts; they'll go very well in our new home!

A walk turned into...

After work yesterday, Derek and I decided to take Drayden out for a walk at the Aylmer Marina. It's perfect; lots of sand, a park, birds and little friends. Once there Drayden didn't seem that interested to play on the structures so we decided to walk the beach. Here we are at the beach with no "little swimmers" diapers, swimsuits or towels...but he sure had a blast playing in the water with mommy. Such a precious moment for me. We truly had a great time and the weather was perfect. Thanks daddy for capturing that moment.
